Weekend Fights Preview
UFC 275: Teixeira vs Procházka

Live!
WE ARE BACK! After a month and 4 days the we finally have another pay per view card this weekend. This card isn't exactly stacked but the top three fights are worth tuning in for (maybe not worth your $75 though...r/crackstreams 🤫)
The card is headlined by two title fights and the 3rd fight from the top is probably the one most are looking forward to. Below is some things to look out for on Saturday night:
In the main event Glover Teixeira looks to defend his belt against Jiri Procházka who is 13 years younger. This may sound like the 'ol sacrificial lamb story and that very well may be what the UFC intends it to be, but stylistically I think this will make for a very competitive fight. Young wild KO artist vs old technical grappler. Jiri will end up on his back - but over the course of 25 minutes can he catch Teixeira?
The co main event is another title fight, this time in the women's flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko defends her belt against Taila Santos. Santos has a record of 19-1 but I wouldn't be fooled by that - Shevchenko really is just on another level than the rest of this division.
The fight most are looking forward to is Weili Zhang vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk in a fight Dana White said will determine who will fight for the strawweight belt next. These two fought back in 2020 in a fight of the year contender that is totally worth 25 minutes of your time. Zhang won by split decision back then and expect it to be another competitive fight come Saturday. If you don't have the 25 minutes to watch the fight, at least check out the hematoma Joanna got from it - it's a second forehead.

Going with a 3 leg parlay this week with some pretty heavy favorites but we still land at a plus money line.
Some stats behind the reasoning for these picks:
Teixeira's rejuvenation has landed him on a 6 fight win streak, only one of those went to a decision - and keep in mind that one was a 3 round fight, we have 5 rounds to work with for him to get a finish.
And then you have Jiri who hasn't even made it to the third round since April of 2019 and hasn't gone the full distance since 2016.
Zhang is dangerous but their first fight went all 5 rounds and Joanna has gone to decision 9 out of her last 10 fights. I think 1.5 rounds is the safe bet in one that will most likely go the full distance.
Choi has faced much tougher competition and comes in ranked 34 compared to Culibao at 64

The stories @TimKennedyMMA shared on the show today were unlike anything I’ve ever heard. Surreal stuff. If you have an hour, trust me on this one:

Watch this interview from ex UFC fighter/Ex soldier Tim Kennedy. It's a full hour but man does that guy have some stories - one of which involves a "soiree" with UFC ring girls.
